Melissa and Doug Terrific Twenty List and Giveaway

Whew, I’ve been missing for quite some time now.  But hopefully I’ll be back soon.  In the meantime, I couldn’t pass up this wonderful opportunity for all of you! 

As a mom, I love Melissa and Doug!  I love the simplicity of their toys, the fact that they make so many things that spark creativity instead of just relying on some loud noises and flashing lights.   I know that so many of you agree and are big fans as well!

Wear Your Music Guitar String Bracelet Review & Giveaway

I love finding out about new products, and when those products help to support a good cause that makes it even better! 

Wear Your Music makes bracelets out of guitar strings!  Their fashion bracelets come in a variety of colors and part of the proceeds are donated to Little Kids Rock and Music Cares.  They also make Original Artist bracelets, made from recycled guitar strings of music icons such as Eric Clapton, Meat Loaf and John Mayer just to name a few.  100% of the net proceeds from these bracelets go to the charity of the artist’s choice.

As soon as I saw the pictures of these unique bracelets I fell in love with them.  As soon as I received them I couldn’t wait to wear them.  They are so dainty, which is perfect for me because I have very small wrists.  You can wear them one at a time, or wear multiple for a little more color. 

These bracelets are good quality and seem like they’ll really hold up over time.  They’re very light and not bulky so sometimes I forget I’m wearing them. 

I just love how unique they are.  Having been a music lover all my life I just love the idea of wearing guitar strings as a bracelet!

Rubbermaid Bento Storage Containers Review and Giveaway

For as long as I can remember, Rubbermaid has been a name that I associate with reliable products and great quality.  So today, I’m happy to tell you about one of their newest products, Bento storage containers!

Rubbermaid’s Bento storage containers’ features include:

  • Flex Dividers - Allow you to customize the inside of the box to make smaller items easy to find.  They pop open when needed and simply pop back when not!  
  • Toppers – Bento toppers don’t only work as lids for the containers, but when turned upside down can serve as a tray as well!  So not only do they conceal the items inside, but they can display other items or simply create a place to store smaller items such as magazines or remote controls.
  • Design – Bento storage containers come in a variety of fabric designs and colors to match any home decor!  The polyester is easy to clean and the boxes are very durable.  They can also stackable to make the most out of your space!  

What I love the most about the Bento storage containers are the flex dividers!  I’m able to store so many things of all different sizes in this big box!  Yet, I’m still able to find everything easily without having to dig through it all.  It’s so nice that everything can be orgainzed in the Bento containers!

It’s also very handy that there are smaller Bento containers that can fit inside the bigger containers.  As you can see in the picture, I have two smaller containers nested inside this large container.  Then, using the lid on one of them allows me to place more items on top of that box as well.  There really is so much stored in these Bento containers but it takes up such a small amount of space!

DownEast Basics Review and Giveaway {Closed}

I’m so excited to have another DownEast Basics review and giveaway for all of you!  I was able to try DownEast Basics clothing for the first time this summer and was so excited to have the opportunity to try another piece!

Coca-Cola and Walmart Bring Home Happiness Giveaway ($50 Walmart GC) {Closed}

Kimochis Review and Giveaway {Closed}

With so many different types of media around us and all of the recent issues with bullying there’s no doubt that our children’s self confidence can be influenced by what they see and hear around them, and not always in a positive way.  So when I heard about Kimochis I was so excited to spread the word about these wonderful toys.

I received the Kimochis Mini Cat and it is so adorable!  It’s super soft and you can really tell it’s made of good quality materials.

The 6″ plush Mini Cat also comes with a small comic book and a 2″ curious feeling on a carabiner key chain.  The feelings are meant to be collected so you can teach your children about each one and then they can display them to let everyone know how they’re feeling.  It’s a great way to teach our children how to express themselves and increase their self confidence.

I love jewelry.  I really love personalized jewelry.  I especially love personalized hand stamped jewelry!  So when I heard about Something About Silver I couldn’t wait to look through all of their beautiful pieces!

Seattle’s Best Coffee Level 2 Review & Giveaway {Closed}

For as long as I can remember coffee has been an important part of my daily routine.  These days I usually drink two cups a day – one in the morning and one when I reach the 2:00 slump.  So when I was given the chance to try Seattle’s Best Coffee I just couldn’t pass it up!  

Seattle’s Best Coffee has come out with a new system for finding the right coffee blend for you.  It’s called the Level System:

Selecting the right coffee hasn’t always been this straightforward.  We’re proud to pioneer a better, easier way to pick your perfect cup—our new Level System.  From light, bright Level 1 to the bold intensity of Level 5, there’s an expertly blended Level for everyone.

I had the opportunity to try their Level 2 blend.  This blend is perfect for me because it’s not too strong.  I definitely enjoy having my coffee taste like coffee, but I don’t want to have to add a TON of cream and sugar to offset the bitterness.  So the Level 2 was just how I like it :)

I also tried a yummy recipe for the Bright and Lively, Fresh and Fruity Smoothie.  It’s full of protein-rich foods so you’ll feel full longer and less hungry throughout the day.  Here’s the recipe so you can give it a try!

  • 1 cup cold-brewed Seattle’s Best Level 2 coffee
  • 1/2 cup nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 ripe banana, chopped
  • 1 Tbs. honey
  • 1 Tbs. ground nuts or natural nut butter
  • Ice to desired consistency

Combine all ingredients in a blender, adding ice until you reach the desired consistency.   Add a straw and enjoy!
