I love jewelry.  I really love personalized jewelry.  I especially love personalized hand stamped jewelry!  So when I heard about Something About Silver I couldn’t wait to look through all of their beautiful pieces!

Minted Holiday Cards Review & Discount Code

With the holidays fast approaching there are a lot of things to start thinking about and planning.  One of those things is Christmas cards!  I really love designing our cards every year but it usually ends up being a very stressful experience because it gets put off until the very last minute.  No one’s fault but my own, but it happens. 

This year I’m so excited to have found Minted.  They allow you to personalize so many different things from holiday cards, to stationary and even journals!  There were so many beautiful Christmas cards to choose from, picking one was the hardest part of the process!

Once you choose a design, the personalization options seem to be endless.  I really like the storyboard card option that allows you to tell the story of your year.  You can choose this option on ANY card design, which I think is so cool!  If you choose just a flat card, like I did, you also have the options of a plain back or a printed back.  

I chose a simple card with space for three pictures.  I chose the green background but there were also red and yellow options.  I was also able to change the fonts, words and move them around to anywhere I wanted them.  It was awesome!  I’m super picky so I loved being able to make everything exactly how I wanted it!

After I finished designing the card I got to choose from different envelope options and whether or not I wanted to include envelope liners.  So many choices!

I chose fancy silver metallic envelopes and opted to purchase liners as well because I wasn’t sure how thick the envelopes would be and I didn’t want the cards to show through. 

I must admit, I don’t really understand how the liners work because they’re not already in the envelopes like I thought they would be.  But the envelopes are such good quality that I don’t need the liners so I’m just going to leave them out. 

The cards are so beautiful and sturdy.  I’m so excited about them and can’t wait to send them out to our family!  I’m sure everyone will be so impressed!

Lovable Labels Review and Giveaway {Closed}

I fell in love with Lovable Labels several months ago.  Shortly after becoming a Lovable Labels Love Bug I received some samples from them.  I went label crazy personalizing my things for the Midwest Mom’s Media Brands and Bloggers Summit last month!  I labeled my planner, folders and even my pen!  Yes, they have labels that are so skinny you can fit them on a pen!  How awesome!

For as long as I can remember I’ve used planners.  All the way back to my high school days.  Even with today’s technology I can’t switch over to Outlook or my iPhone calendar.  There’s just something about writing things in a planner :)

I am super picky when it comes to picking out a planner!  But I quickly fell in love with dotmine’s day planners earlier this year after winning one of their 2011 planners from another blogger.  Today I’m going to tell you a little more about dotmine so you can fall in love with them too!

One thing that’s really important to me when looking for a planner is that there are both weekly and monthly pages.  I need to be able to look at the entire month at once, but need the weekly pages if I need more space to write.  Dotmine’s Family_Time.Mine has both!

The Family_Time.Mine also has tear-out margins so you can make grocery lists, to-do lists or just jot down notes and then rip them out to take with you!  So handy!

Another feature is the pocket on the inside of the back cover of the planner.  This is a great place to stick little notes, receipts, etc.

One more thing that I love is that the Family_Time.Mine comes with cute little stickers for different occasions such as birthdays, sporting events, vacations, bills, anniversaries and many more.

The Family_Time.Mine that I have has a plastic cover and is small enough to fit in my purse.  So if I need to carry it with me it’s super easy!  If you’re looking for a larger planner dotmine has those too!

Dotmine’s planners are also very affordable, ranging from $13.99 to $21.99 – another huge plus, and they last for 17 months!  How awesome?!  I recently took a look at the planners for sale at a popular office supply store.  I absolutely could not believe the price of some of them!  It definitely made me appreciate dotmine even more!

I, luckily, have not yet entered the crazy toddler phase where I’m at risk of turning my head for a second and having Carter wander away from me.  But I know that day is coming.  I’m so excited to have found these products to ease my mind a little bit about when that time does come.

The idea for SafetyTat temporary child ID tattoos was born of necessity one weekend at an amusement park. On Labor Day Weekend, Baltimore Mom, Michele Welsh and her husband, there with their three small children, felt out-numbered. To stave her panic, she quickly wrote her mobile phone number on each of their arms with a ballpoint pen. As she did this, she thoughtfully explained to each of them the importance of staying close to Mommy and Daddy. She also told them that if they were separated that the number on their arm was a way to reconnect with them.

Throughout the day of fun, Michele had to rewrite the number several times as it smeared or washed off. Several parents in the park stopped her to ask if that was her number on the kids’ arms. Each time, they loved the idea.

The day was a success and the idea for SafetyTat temporary child id tattoos was born.

I tried the Quick Stick Write-On tattoos on Carter.  I have to admit, I was very sceptical of these when I received them.  The first reason being they are not applied with water.  Also because they are supposed to last up to two weeks and then you just peel them off when you’re finished.  And, you use a marker to write your phone number on the tattoo?  Hmm, seems kind of odd, right?  Well, when I put one of them on Carter (on his thigh) I was immediately sold.  I love these things! 
A small swab is included with the tattoos that you use to clean the place you will be applying the tattoo.  Then you peel off the large backing and stick the tattoo, holding it in place for about 20 seconds.  Then you peel off the smaller backing, use the special waterproof marker that’s included to write your phone number on the tattoo and you’re all done!  The tattoo looked awesome, went on smoothly, and when it was time to peel it off I don’t think Carter even knew I had done it! 
Please excuse the messy writing, all Carter wanted to do was squirm around!  Which is also why the picture isn’t the best.
Overall, I was very impressed with the Quick Stick Write-On SafetyTats and will definitely be using them when Carter gets older.

    Product Review
    I received the spray and immediately sprayed it into the air to smell it.  Wow, it smells so good!  Sort of a fruity smell.  I’ve used it several times since that first day when I find my anxiety beginning to rise.  I’m not sure if it’s the actual spray itself, or the act of grabbing the bottle, spraying, and smelling that calms me because my mind is taken off of Carter’s eating for those few seconds.  But it does seem to help, and no matter what the reason, that’s the important part!  I also really like that it’s safe for babies, so when I’m feeding Carter in my arms and need a whiff I can spray it right there next to him and it’s ok.  My dog always comes over to smell it too ;)
