My One Year Blogoversary

Before the day is over I just want to let everyone know that as of today, Three P’s in a Pod has officially been here for a year!  It seems so crazy to me!  I wish I would’ve taken a screen shot of what this blog looked like a year ago, but I didn’t.  I didn’t even remember that my blogoversary was coming up until just a few days ago!  So I apologize that I don’t have a fun event planned for all of you.

I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of you out there, my readers!  There’s no way that this blog would’ve grown like it has if it weren’t for all of you!  I appreciate every single follow, every single comment, every single visit from all of you!

So here’s to another year!  Now I’m off to take a screen shot of what my blog looks like so I can compare it next year :)

It’s a Book by Lane Smith

I ran across this book a couple months ago and read through it quickly at the bookstore.  I absolutely loved it!  So when I saw it on sale last week I had to pick it up!  It’s just a simple conversation between a donkey and a monkey.  The monkey is reading a book and the donkey is asking him about it.  Hopefully the world never comes to this, but it’s definitely a cute story!

What do you have there?
It’s a book.
How do you scroll down?
I don’t.  I turn the page.  It’s a book.
Do you blog with it?
No, it’s a book.
Where’s your mouse? Can you make the characters fight?
Nope.  Book.
Can it text?
No.
No.
Wi-Fi?
No.
Can it do this? (image of sound coming from laptop)
No…it’s a book.  Look. (image from the book)
Too many letters.  I’ll fix it – rrr! K? lol!
So…what else can this book do?  Does it need a password?
No.
Need a screen name?
No.  It’s a book.
(The monkey gives the book to the donkey and he’s reading)
Are you going to give my book back?
No.
Fine…I’m going to the library.
Don’t worry, I’ll charge it up when I’m done!
You don’t have to…it’s a book jack***.

You can purchase this book on Amazon.

*I received no compensation for this post, I just enjoy the book and wanted to share :)

Ta da!

I am officially a WordPress blogger now!  How do you like it?

It was quite a long process, mainly because I’m super picky and anal about a lot of things.  But Aaron from RFE Hosting was great and put up with all of the questions and changes I asked for :)

I haven’t had a chance to do much with it yet, but so far it’s not nearly as scary as I thought it would be.  I was getting so sad and worried yesterday when I wrote my last Blogger post because I knew that the comfort I had built up with Blogger was going out the window and I’d be thrown into WordPress, which I’ve never used, or even seen the back end of!  I don’t usually do well with change.  But I knew this change would be a good one, once I got used to it.

So, this is officially the first post that I’m writing in WordPress, yipee!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend.  It’s super warm today, a record setting 85 degrees.  So we’ve enjoyed a walk/wagon ride and some relaxing with the windows open.  What have you enjoyed this weekend?
